AWS DEPLOYMENT | TESTING & TROUBLESHOOTING

Modified on Mon, 28 Jul at 9:27 AM

This section provides prescriptive guidance for validating and troubleshooting the deployment of both the Installation Wizard and the PersonalisationHub stack.

1. Post-Deployment Validation

1.1 Installation Wizard (Provisioned via AWS Marketplace & CloudFormation)

You can retrieve the URL from the EC2InstancePublicIP output of the CloudFormation stack (found under CloudFormation Console → Stacks → [Your Stack] → Outputs).

This Installation Wizard URL should be accessible in your browser after the instance is up and running.

1.2 PersonalisationHub (Provisioned via Installation Wizard)

After completing the DNS Mapping step, please wait until you receive a confirmation email indicating that the installation process has finished. This email will include a Call-to-Action (CTA) link to log in.

Clicking the CTA will redirect you to the HQ Admin login page.

Note: It may take a few minutes for DNS and SSL configurations to fully propagate across the internet. If the link doesn't work immediately, please wait a few minutes and try again.

1.3 EKS Cluster Check

Go to EKS Console → Clusters → [Your Cluster] → Workloads → Pods, and ensure all pods are in the Running state

1.4 OpenSearch Status

Navigate to OpenSearch Console → Domains, verify the domain is Active and the endpoint is reachable.

1.5 RDS / ElastiCache / MSK

Use the RDS / ElastiCache / MSK Consoles to check the status of provisioned services and confirm they are available.

2. Common Troubleshooting Scenarios

Issue

Suggested Action

Installation Wizard URL not loading

Check EC2 instance state and public DNS name in EC2 Console

Wizard load balancer not responding

Verify load balancer health checks and security groups in EC2 Console

PH services not launching

Confirm pod health in EKS Console → Workloads

OpenSearch endpoint unreachable

Check domain status in OpenSearch Console and verify access rules

Unexpected billing charges

Revisit Cost Control settings in the Wizard to confirm schedule and size config
