In order to play the same campaigns on multiple screens at many locations we use Schedules to control channels centrally.
1. Go to the AEM main menu. Select the Screens folder, Highlight the Schedules folder. Click on Create CTA and from the dropdown menu Select, Create Entity.
2. Select Schedule from the options then click Next.
3. In the Title field name the Schedule Single Portrait (naming the schedule using a similar description as the Display Type helps authors match Campaigns to Displays). Make sure you fill in the Name field along with the Title field. The Name field must not have spaces. See the example below. Select Create.
4. Assign a channel to this schedule. Select the newly created Single Portrait Schedule. Select Dashboard from the contextual menu. You can now select the + Assign Channel tab see images below.
5. In the Channel Path field browse to and highlight the Single Portrait Campaigns and click the Tick icon to select the path.
6 In the Priority dropdown, in order for this channel to resolve, select a number higher than that of any other channel on the display.
7. In the Supported Events field select the mandatory events Initial Load, Timer and Idle Screen. Save and Close.
8. Now select the newly created schedule Single Portrait and choose Manage Publication. Go through the publish process.
The next step is to assign the schedule to the display so that campaigns can play on a screen.
9. Go to the Location of the display, and select it. In this example Single Portrait and choose Dashboard.
10. A dialogue box appears, select Assign Schedule from the Options menu (3 dots).
11. In Schedule Path field search for the Single Portrait schedule you created and select it. Tick Select Path
12. Close the Dashboard. Select the Single Portrait schedule and select Manage Publication. Go through the publish process.
Now whatever campaign is published on the Single Portrait Campaigns channel should play on the screen of the Single Portrait display at the Burwood location. Indeed, this is the case for any Single Portrait display at any location that has the Single Portrait schedule.
