Creating a New Channel

Modified on Thu, 31 Aug, 2023 at 3:07 PM

Once you've Uploaded the Assets, now you are going to create the Channel that Plays these Videos/Images on your respective Display.

1. Navigate to your Screens Project and highlight the Channels folder. Select the Create CTA then, select Create Entity.

3. Select the Type of Channel that you would like to create. We recommend starting with a Sequence Channel & then select Next.

4. Give the Channel a Name. We recommend using the similar terms used in the 'Display-Type' in the channel name to ensure authors can more easily match channels with displays. In the below example we use 'Single-Portrait-Campaigns' as the Channel Name. Once defined select Create.

Make sure the Campaigns that you would like to add to your New Channel have been uploaded to the DAM & asset processing has been completed. See Uploading Assets (Videos & Images) for how this is done.

5. Now select/tick the Channel & select Edit in the Top Nav Menu.

6. Your New Channel will open in EDIT mode and you can start adding Images and Videos.

7. Use the Side Panel toggle to Expand the Left Menu Pane to access assets (e.g. Images > Videos). Update/change the Filters to find your Campaigns.

8. Drag & Drop the desired Campaigns into the Channel (you can update the order by long pressing on a Campaign and dragging and dropping it into the desired Location).

9. To control the length of time an image plays, click on the Image > select the Spanner icon > Sequence Tab and update Duration (in milliseconds).

10. Once you've completed the authoring of the Channel. Close the Tab & Return to the Channels Folder.

11. Select/Tick the New Channel & select Manage Publication (follow the steps to Publish the Channel).
