AEM SCREENS | Scheduling an additional Targeted Campaign in the Rotation

Modified on Thu, 31 Aug, 2023 at 3:16 PM

This section assumes that you have installed the Personalisation Hub AEM Package & successfully connected AEM Screens to the Personalisation Hub Platform.

To Add a Campaign OR Alternatively schedule a campaign to Play as Part of a Targeted Rotation, the easiest way to add this is as follows.

1. Open the Channel in EDIT mode.

2. Drag & Drop the New (4th) campaign into the Channel, click on the Spanner (Config) icon.

3. Select the Activation Tab & set an Activation End Date for the campaign in the Past (this will ensure that the campaign is hidden within the Channel & you can now control when it gets shown).

(Let's schedule the Demo Audience 2 campaign out and replace it with the Scheduled (New Campaign).

4. Now Open the Channel in Targeting mode.

5. Select the Demo Audience 2 Experience (in the Right Hand Nav menu).

7. Click on the Spanner (Config) Icon for the Demo Audience 2 campaign.

8. Now go to the Activation Tab & set an END DATE/TIME for the existing Demo Audience 2 campaign.

9. Select the Target Icon for the Scheduled (New Campaign) then the Plus '+' (Add Offer).

10. Now Click the Spanner (Config) Icon for the Scheduled (New Campaign).

11. Go to the Activation Tab, Delete the End Date that you included in Step 3 above (as you now want the Campaign to Play as part of this Targeted Experience) & Define a START DATE/TIME for when this Campaign should start playing.

12. Now Follow the Publish Process for Targeted Channels (Dirtying & Republishing a Targeted Channel)

13. When the Demo Audience 2 segment resolves, the Demo Audience 2 campaign will be swapped out for the Scheduled (New Campaign) based on the START & END Date/Times defined in Steps 8 & 10 above.
