Before you start, ensure that the Chromebox device is ready, with a working internet connection, and that you have a Google Workspace account with super admin access.

Part 1: Registering Chromebox with Google Chrome Device Management (CDM)

Step 1: Turn on the Chromebox device.

Step 2: Follow the on-screen instructions until you see the sign-in screen. Don’t sign in yet.

Step 3: To enter Chromebox setup, press the key combination Ctrl+Alt+E. The enrollment screen will appear.

Step 4: Enter the username and password from your Google Workspace account, then click "Enroll device."

Step 5: The device will register and connect to the Google Chrome Device Management platform. A confirmation message will appear when the process is successful.

Step 6: After enrollment, you'll be redirected to the sign-in screen. Sign in to your Google Workspace account to manage your device.

Part 2: Launching a Kiosk App

Step 1: Sign in to your Google Admin console with your administrator account.

Step 2: From the Admin console Home page, go to "Devices" > "Chrome Devices."

Step 3: Click on the device you want to set up, then go to "Device settings."

Step 4: To apply the setting to everyone, leave the top organizational unit selected. Otherwise, select a child organizational unit.

Step 5: Scroll to "Kiosk Settings" > "Manage Kiosk Applications."

Step 6: In the "Kiosk Applications" panel, click on "Chrome Web Store." Enter the ID of the Kiosk App you want to use, or use the "Find" option to search for the app.

Step 7: Click "Add" and then "Save."

Step 8: Back on the "Device settings" page, scroll to "Kiosk Settings" > "Auto-Launch Kiosk App," then enter the ID of the Kiosk App you want to auto-launch.

Step 9: Click "Save."

Step 10: The app will now automatically launch whenever the device starts up.

Ensure to keep the device turned on and connected to the internet for these changes to take effect. If the device is turned off when you make these changes, the changes will take effect the next time the device is turned on and connected to the internet.
