PLATFORM SECURITY (ENABLE IP-RESTRICTIONS)

Modified on Sun, 30 Mar at 11:39 AM

Once you've installed the platform, we strongly recommend that you enable IP restrictions & restrict who has access to the platform.

URGENT: Please ensure that you first add your current IP address, before adding other IP addresses, as otherwise you will no longer be able to access the platform.

Option 1: PLATFORM BEHIND CDN PROVIDER (e.g. Akamai)

If your organisation uses a CDN (e.g. Akamai), you should consider placing your instances of Personalisation Hub behind your CDN. In some cases, you can also set-up the DNS record for the Platform within the CDN itself.

You can then fully control all-traffic (as it has to go through your organisation's CDN) that is able to access the platform. This allows you to manage IP address restrictions from a single location & provides greater insight/control over potential cyber attacks.

We also recommend that you whitelist all the IP-addresses (used by your CDN) as per the instructions below.

Option 2: WHITELIST IP ADDRESSES (that can access the platform)

You can manage all the IP addresses that have access to your instances of Personalisation Hub.

This allows you to ensure that only your organisation's Offices, Retail Stores or Partners have access to the platform.

1. Navigate to PLATFORM ADMIN > Security (IP Restrictions)

2. Select 'Add New IP Address' (& make sure that you add the IP address that you are currently accessing the platform from first)

3. Add the Remaining IP addresses that require access to the platform

PLEASE NOTE: To disable the IP address restrictions completely, simply tick the 'Select All' checkbox and select 'Deactivate selected'. When No IP addresses are defined or activated, the IP address feature gets disabled.
