Overview

Targeting allows you to control where and to whom your campaign will play. By defining audience and location rules, you can ensure that content is delivered only to the stores, zones, or displays that matter. This is useful for tailoring promotions by region, visitor segment, or specific display groups.

Before You Begin

Make sure you have:

  • Created your campaign and added schedules.
  • Defined any Store Segments, Display Tags, or Customer Segments you plan to target (under Company Settings).
  • Appropriate permissions to edit audience targeting for campaigns.

Step 1 – Open the Audience Targeting Tab

  1. From Campaigns, open the campaign you wish to target.
  2. Navigate to the Audience Targeting tab. This tab shows a list of existing targeting rules (if any).

Step 2 – Add a Targeting Rule

  1. Click Add Targeting Rule.
  2. Choose the Targeting Variable (e.g., Store Segment, Display Tag, Customer Segment, Zone, etc.).
  3. Select an Operator (e.g., includes selected, equals, does not include).
  4. Select one or more Values to match (for example, select the specific store segments or tags you want to include).

Step 3 – Combine Multiple Rules (Optional)

  1. Use the Add another rule option to create additional conditions.
  2. Rules are combined using AND/OR logic depending on your configuration. This allows you to tailor campaigns to multiple criteria (e.g., a specific store segment AND a particular display tag).

Step 4 – Review and Save

  1. Review your rules to ensure they cover the intended audience.
  2. Click Save to apply the targeting settings to your campaign.

Success

Your campaign now includes audience targeting rules. Only the specified stores, segments, or displays will receive this campaign.
