Overview

Targeting campaigns at a store or location level lets you group stores into segments and deliver content to those segments only. Use Store Segments to organise your locations by demographic, region, or any criteria you choose (e.g., high‑traffic stores vs low‑traffic stores).

Before You Begin

Make sure you have:

  • Defined your Localisation Strategy and decided how you want to group your stores.
  • Created the necessary Store Segments in the Company Settings → Retail Settings → Store Segments section.
  • Permissions to manage store segments and campaigns.
  • Created a campaign with basic details and schedules.

Step 1 – Create or Edit Store Segments

  1. In HQ Admin, navigate to Company Settings → Retail Settings → Store Segments.
  2. Click Add New Store Segment and choose whether it is Fixed (only HQ can manage) or Variable (store managers can enable/disable it).
  3. Enter a Name for the segment (e.g., “Metropolitan Stores” or “Low Stock Locations”).
  4. Click Save. The segment will now appear in your list of store segments.

Step 2 – Assign Segments to Stores

  1. Go to Stores / Branches in HQ Admin.
  2. Select a store you want to assign segments to.
  3. In the store details, locate the Store Segments section.
  4. Enable or disable the relevant Variable segments for that store (fixed segments are automatically applied by HQ).
  5. Save your changes. Repeat for other stores as needed.

Step 3 – Target a Campaign by Store Segment

  1. Open the campaign you wish to target and go to the Audience Targeting tab.
  2. Click Add Targeting Rule.
  3. Set Targeting Variable to Store Segment.
  4. Choose an operator (e.g., includes selected).
  5. Select one or more store segments that should receive the campaign.
  6. Save the rule.

Success

Your campaign will now play only in the stores that match the selected store segments.
